Just last month Rep. Jessie Jackson, Jr. (D-ILL) delivered a speech on the House floor in which he said "How many people would be put to work building roofs and designing classrooms and providing every student with an iPod and a laptop?”
On Friday, Jackson took to the same stage telling a different story, criticizing Apple Ceo Steve Jobs for outsourcing the production of the iPad to China; Contributing to the nation's current level of unemployement and inability to achieve "sustained full production."
An admitted iPad owner, Jackson continued his attack by saying “What becomes of publishing companies and publishing company jobs? What becomes of bookstores and libraries, and all of the jobs associated with paper? Well, in the not-too-distant future, such jobs simply won’t exist."
if the Congressmen isn't willing to give up his iPad to set an example, why should we believe his implication that the device (and Apple) are "probably responsible" for the loss of American jobs?
Angry Birds must be that addicting.
